This is the second full length album by The Aleatoric Chamber Ensemble. The previous release "Aleatoric Anthems and Palindromes" won an award for the "Best Experimental Album" in Sweden at the Manifest gala 2022 arranged by SOM (Swedish Independent Music Producers). The album is a selection of music composed by Lars Bröndum and perfomed by the Aleatoric Chamber Ensemble. The pieces were composed between 2022-2023 except for Eclipsis Machinae which was originally composed 1990 as a recorder solo, but has in this arrangement an added electronics part. Short Circuit was originally composed 2004 for violin, contrabass, piano and electronics but is here arranged for contrabass recorder, saxophone, bass clarinet and electronics. Several compositiones explores ideas and themes from Buddhism in that objects such as machines, rocks, AI, etc., might have consciousness and perception. Sentient beings are typically not awakened, and are therefore limited to death, suffering and rebirth.
